TechBeez is a networking, event and competition platform aimed at connecting aspiring female students in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math’s) fields with successful and inspiring female leaders in the ICT and digital industry. By building a bridge between female ICT professionals and female students through networking opportunities, events and competitions, we aim to inspire further involvement of women in ICT and facilitate the growth of digital Bangladesh.
Bangladesh as a developing nation is still plagued by multitudes of social issues that can be solved through digital transformation and innovation. We are launching an idea generation competition for the aspiring female students in STEM where they are required to submit an innovative and tech based idea (either a product or service) that addresses one of the social issues listed below.
Each team must comprise of 3/4 members (male or female) and must have a female leader. The competition has a registration deadline of 20th September, after the idea submission round top five teams will be shortlisted for the mentorship program by industry experts to polish and strategize their idea from inception to implementation, further analysis of the minute details to make it viable and feasible. After the mentoring the teams will present their idea along with a demo if possible on Pitch Day in front of a judge’s panel where they will be evaluated based on different criterion. The winning team will receive a cash prize of 75,000 BDT, collaborate with EMK MakerLab, and get networking opportunity with industry experts and eminent personalities.
